Psychological Capital and Work Engagement: A Mediated Moderation Model of Positive Emotions and Emotional Intelligence

The current study sought to investigate and add critical consequences of work engagement the literature on psychological capital in healthcare sector Pakistan. For better understanding mechanism, Positive Emotions (PE) is added as potential mediator between relationship (PsyCap) engagement. Also, moderating role emotional intelligence studied. A total 370 registered nurses working tertiary public private hospitals Lahore participated survey. Using convenience sampling technique, data were collected through a standardized structured questionnaire using cross-sectional time frame. Results revealed that PE partially mediated PsyCap Moderation statistically significant moderation EI PE. it was worth noting mediating effect positive emotions among moderated by at all three levels moderation. Workplace interventions need be developed implemented increase nurses.
